Tomorrow´s world today

BGC has seen the light! The company is helping to lead the way in harnessing the power of the sun to heat our homes.

Global warming, the spiralling cost of oil and gas and the fact that traditional energy sources are declining are all issues making the world look at how we will heat our homes, offices and factories in the future if we are to save the planet from an environmental catastrophe.

Now BGC has teamed up with market leading heating system manufacturers Vaillant to embrace "tomorrow´s world" today and offer customers the benefits of solar heating.

Solar heating for domestic hot water is the fastest growing renewable energy technology across Europe. In the UK alone sales of glazed solar collector units are forecast to double over the next four years.

BGC are in the forefront of this "green" sustainable energy technology. They are one of the first British companies of its kind to sign up to this exciting renewable energy solution.

Staff are undergoing specialist training with Vaillant in order to become fully registered installers – and BGC teams will be ready to launch the solar service later this year.

BGC Director Steve Hancock said: "We are totally committed to the concept of utilising renewable energy sources as the way forward to benefit the environment, reduce fuel bills and add value to properties. We are making a substantial investment in providing our staff with the training and accreditation they will need in order to offer our customers the benefits of this innovative and effective solar system."

Looking even further ahead, BGC plan to go underground as well as look to the sun for cleaner and sustainable energy sources.

They are working closely with partners in the industry to develop Geo-Thermal heating systems. Basically, this type of system utilises an underground pumped circulation network that recovers otherwise wasted heat from the earth´s surface. This recovered heat is then converted into a highly efficient home heating and hot water system."
